Linda Hageman is the founder of the Hageman Foundation. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and was diagnosed with MEN1 in 1989. Both Linda's mother and maternal uncle were diagnosed with MEN 10 years before her diagnosis.
Linda has experienced adenoma involvement with all three of the endocrine glands commonly associated with MEN1. These “Three P's” include the pituitary, parathyroid and pancreas glands.
Linda has undergone multiple parathyroid surgeries, a Thompson Procedure (removal of the tail of the pancreas and the spleen), and a complete Whipple Procedure (removal of the remaining pancreas, gall bladder, and part of the duodenum and stomach). She now has surgical diabetes following removal of her pancreas.
Linda’s passion is to help others with endocrine disease and welcomes you to visit the American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support website www.amensupport.org which is sponsored by the Hageman Foundation.
